Our journey began with NewBath, a company founded in New Orleans, LA by Larry Closs in 2004. Larry’s vision was simple: to deliver superior products and services in the home remodeling industry. Initially focusing on affordable and convenient bathroom remodeling, NewBath quickly gained a reputation for excellence in customer satisfaction.
As our happy homeowners continued to express their delight, they also began asking for more home improvement solutions beyond bathrooms. This led us to expand our offerings to include services like replacement, walk-in tubs, windows and patio doors, meeting the evolving needs of our valued customers.
With an increasing number of happy homeowners and an expanded range of home improvement solutions, we decided it was time to rebrand as MaxHome, reflecting our commitment to MAXIMIZING HAPPINESS and satisfaction for everyone we serve. With an increasing number of delighted homeowners and an expanded array of home improvement offerings, we determined it was time for a rebranding as MaxHome, a reflection of our commitment to MAXIMIZING HAPPINESS and satisfaction for all our customers.
Recognizing a growing demand for affordable home improvement solutions throughout the Gulf Coast, all in search of a dependable and trustworthy partner, MaxHome embarked on its mission to enhance the happiness of more homeowners. Starting in Houston in 2009 our expansion continued to Mobile AL, Pensacola FL, Panama City FL, Tallahassee FL and Lake Charles LA. MaxHome now services communities from Houston TX to Tallahassee FL along the gulf coast.

Larry Closs, CEO of MaxHome, is on a mission – to make people happy. He wants his customers to be happy with affordable, long-lasting, and beautiful home upgrades. He wants to his employees to be happy in a rewarding, fulfilling job at an organization that values teamwork. He wants his vendors to be happy that they do business with MaxHome. And he wants his community to be happy, which is why Larry supports dozens of charitable groups including New Orleans Mission, Killroy Home, Ronald McDonald House, and Children’s Hospital. After starting his business in New Orleans in 2002, Larry faced enormous challenges when Hurricane Katrina destroyed his entire stock in 2005. Undeterred, Larry opened a new warehouse 50 yards away, reevaluated his business model to offer a bigger range of products and services, and is now recognized as one of the fastest-growing inner city companies in the United States. Larry plans to continue pursuing his goal of making people happy, which has clearly been a winning formula for his success.
